Crosswind Takeoff

 Crosswind Takeoff

A crosswind takeoff is a normal take off with the following modifications:

  • Minimal flaps
  • Ailerons rolled fully into wind, neutralized as liftoff nears
  • Slightly increased Vr (rotate speed is higher)
  • Crab following takeoff
Hold the inputs! Letting go early will cause the aircraft to drift downwind.
